well, the flyer did say “or a special friend”

Dad is actually a long-time hedge fund manager, who now just lets his money roll in and he sits around in his underwear. Still Death would be pretty cool to bring to show-&-tell.

Ol’ MORT will give a fine, all-capitals speech!

And he could deliver a cutting edge presentation on the harvesting of souls… together with a presentation by the Death of Rats

…and he can stay after school and teach some kids how to play chess. (Yeah, why not?)

I’m sure Lio will get a good grade.

One would think that the school should know by now to be VERY specific about what they mean when they mention “special friend,” especially in Lio’s case.

The invitation will be declined — wrong demographic for the speaker… who has more work to do in the Middle East.

So….does Lio’s dad have a job? Somebody must be paying the bills.

His dad must have some special powers. The TV stand is resting on only 2 legs.

Our doubts about Dad mirror Lio’s. But bringing the Grim Reaper into the school (will he be allowed to bring his scythe with him? Who’d stop him?) may set off PTA complaints. And Lio already has enough of a reputation!
