This may actually be somewhat accurate. GOP is ripping the engine and everything around it out into a junk pile, without any tools, without any replacement parts to fix problems. The vehicle for health care will rust away and patience it transports will be left to suffer and possibly expire.

    What the He!!?!?!?

    Henry finally got one right!

The teardown, easy. The rebuild, hard.

Shudda left it alone until better mechanics get elected.

Henry’s ignoring the fact that the 700 odd accepted Republican amendments to the bill were all about adding that stuff he’s showing being ripped out.

How about we just rip it down to single payer, eh? One negotiation, all doctors and hospitals and dentists and drug companies belong to the “group” and if they don’t like what they get paid, they can go to another country and get paid 1/4 as much. Or less.

Gee, everyone pays, everyone is covered. How is that “free”? Imaginary Repub BS?

OAHHHH, nobody can get treatment in countries like that.

Yah, funny thing about that, spent a LONG time working overseas. Broke a tooth. Walked into the dentist office down the street and said “I broke a tooth”. Cute receptionist (yes, they’re still cute with their hair covered) smiled at me and said “take a seat”. So I sat down. About twenty minutes later they were reshaping the tooth for a crown. Told me the crown would be ready in four days, stuck on a temp cap and I went on to work. Monday, I went back, got the new crown put on, paid for the whole thing in cash, which was about what my copay would have been in the USA. And then my company insurance paid me back the entire sum.

Got a prostate infection while I was there. Experience was pretty much the same, walked in with a problem, got treated a couple hours later and walked out, except more follow up and CAT scans.

It would be SO TERRIBLE if we were under such a system. TOTALLY EVIL. Why, people would break their teeth just for fun! And there’d be prostate infection parties! Or something like that. Yeah.

Now that the GOP has ripped the engine out of the functioning ambulance how are we going to be providing health care? By giving tax breaks to the wealthy?

Why not just open Midicare for anybody who needs it? The majority would still get healthcare benefits from their employer so insurance companies would still be ok. Sure, it would cost a great deal, and payroll taxes would have to increase, but the system is already in place and would not require a huge entitlement, subsidies, or tax credits. Anyone who has the means and wants to purchase their own insurance, that’s fine, as well as those covered by their employer. No doubt, many places and hospitals will not accept medicare (just like now), and there would be a difference in the quality of service (just like now), but everyone would have access to health care and it would cost a whole lot less than what they are trying to do now.

A 6 billion tax cut for the rich, ballooning the national debt. Hypocritical GOP in action.

The government should not be in the health care/insurance business.
