Great melting snowflakes! I just gave away my snowblower, and I live in Michigan!

There’s still a pile of snow a little larger than a deflated basketball in front of a neighbor’s house. It’s all that’s left of the heap the plow guy piles up when he does a driveway. I went out and scattered mine with a shovel the first warm day. We’ll probably have some more snow before Spring kicks in—lake effect snow, possibly, from Lake Ontario.

Compare figure 1 and figure 2 at this site (before it’s deleted).

Awesome, whether the groundhog sees its shadow or not, it is still 6 more weeks until the spring equinox. As for Dallas, does the zoo have a groundhog?

Weather is not proof of climate change, but we keep setting records…

Ground hogs predict nothing, that is human action. Local weather is too variable to just give away something like a snow blower. Hold on to it for at least another 25 years if I were you.

About ten years ago I did some on-line research of global warming. I found photographs taken in the 1970’s, 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s from the same places. They showed the leading edge of glaciers receding by hundreds of yards (across wide valleys and up to 10 or more feet deep). I also, more recently, found USGS maps of the Arctic region showing “permanent pack ice” in places which are now ice free for several months each year. And then there was the calving of the Ross Ice Shelf in 2000 in Antarctica, where an ice berg, approximately 170 miles long x 25 miles wide (almost the size of Connecticut) broke off.

    Nope, no warming here.

With everything that is going on, this is what you do? Given that you still have Bill Clinton as your “profile” pic, I think the kindest thing I could say is that you just aren’t paying attention.

don’t understand what the blind deniers get out of their stance, what with all the clear evidence and expert reports and warnings. I just don’t get why they’re being so resistant about this. Their children will also suffer.

But hey, there are some good things about Global Warming like wildflowers growing on the western coast of Antarctica in the southern summer and cheaper shipping now that the Northwest Passage across the Arctic Circle now actually exists in the northern summer and as illustrated above we no longer need our snowblowers here in Kansas any more.

NRHAWK says, “But hey, there are some good things about Global Warming…”And if the southern deserts are expanding and eating up farmland so the people are starving, that’s not OUR concern, as long as we have more pleasant winters.

someone doesn’t understand the cyclic nature of the weather patterns. That said, temperatures go up year after year as the globe warms we are seeing changes to our climate. Don’t worry, though, Trump said this is just a Chinese hoax .
