I needed some cough drops a couple of weeks ago. I keep them in the hall linen closet. They were softened on the outside, but still worked. Looking at the date on the package, I found that they were 7 years old. It seems I don’t often get a sore throat.

Keep it in a cool, dry place. The medicine cabinet in the throne room does not qualify.

Just put ‘em back in to the box and whack ’em a couple of times with something heavy, they’ll be all right.
