Was that a hoax yesterday? I was very concerned. Tons of comments and several who said whatever you said,, they were unsubscribing. THAT made me Mad!That they would just Assume you had hurt #45’s little feelings!I hope those who unsubscribed will not hurt your ratings, I say that as one of your Loyal readers. still too bad, and If it WAS TRUE, how terrible.

It’s too bad that gocomics does NOT let us read the last several days before so to see what may or may Not be real.

I’m old enough to remember when comics were regulated. I also remember that parents were demanding that Dick Tracy be removed from the comic strips because FlyFace was too gruesome.

I am old enough to remember that Al Capp filled his story lines with moral and political lessons on greed, sloth, vanity and—repeatedly—the failure of communism. Albeit the strip format constricts discourse and creates characterizations too broad, I have read Baldo for years and I will be interested in going wherever the writer and artist want to go.

Politics is part of life, it’s part of society, as such, it affects every person the world over. . Don’t like it? you don’t have to like it, but you do need to know what’s happening. Don’t want it on your comics page? Fine, unsubscribe, skip over those strips, don’t bother with the comments you now have to actively seek out to see on gocomics, etc. But the very act of complaining, carrying on, pitching a fit, whining, et al. is political. . SO, you don’t want politics in your comics? keep your mouth shut and move along.

Still more entertaining showing how ‘smart’ and ‘cute’ Gracie is.

Once again, EVERYBODY misses the point about how STUPID today’s strip is. It doesn’t make any difference whether the strip is “political” or not. The acid test is: is it funny on its own merits, as if you only read the strip ONE DAY and today’s the day? The answer here is simply NO, as the “disclaimer” can be just a “Huh?” factor. It’s not funny, it’s a loser.

What I have noticed is the media, and certain outlets and probably highs, want us to hate each other. They want us to fight amongst ourselves. It seems best not to get pulled into their “Hate-games”Someday, could be real soon, we will Need to be Good Neighbors to each other.Like R. Reagan said “if we were attacked by (extraterrestrials) we would forget all our bickering”. I think that was a loose paraphrasing I did, but. I’m trying to not get sucked into the hate game.I enjoyed today’s comments, quite a varied discussion, for the most part, civil. If I added to the strife in anyway, I’m sorry.
