Apologies, but this Brit has never heard of Lyndon Larouche (and I’m not much wiser after reading his Wikipedia page). Mike

He was never taken all that seriously by a large group of voters. But, we also said that about what we currently have in the White House.

I am a Democrat. I have known many other Democrats over the years. I never once met a supporter of Lyndon larouche. He was never a real contender in the Democratic Party. Not even close.

There have always been fringe candidates. That is not so unusual. The unusual thing is what has happened with a fringe nut getting into the White House.

@"SKEPTICAL": If you live in Trump World, where Putin is a great guy, where we can solve most of our problems be requiring Mexico to build a wall, where we can turn our back on our NATO allies if they don’t provide money (even though they send soldiers to join ours in battle) and where it’s a good thing to hang up on allies and blame them if you disagree with an agreement they reached with your predecessor, then, SKEPTICAL AKA TRUMP you DON’T live in he real world.

Members of congress have begun to question if the trump administration will be competent enough to handle a serious crisis. I don’t think they are competent enough to handle a ten person brunch.

Statistics show that in the states where trump has the most supporters, there is also a serious opioid epidemic. This could account for the reason they are so zealous in their support of the reckless trump. Maybe they are just high.

As to the snowflake comment above, you are not special. You are not a beautiful and unique snowflake. You are of the same decaying matter as everything else.

So far, everyone seems to have missed the satiric point that Trudeau was making here or maybe people just forgot.

This wasn’t about Republican v. Democrat.

The allusion to Al ( I’m In Charge Here ) Haig gives it away.

    Gen. Haig was a Republican.

With him out the only forceful, take-charge crazy left was Larouche !

La Rouche was also a proponent of nuclear fission. I remember buying a magazine at a newsstand put out by him which was all about fission power.

LaRouche also was a big supporter of nuclear fusion power. He put out a magazine one election year devoted to that. I think the title may have been Fusion.

Lyndon larouche was mentioned in the Doonesbury strip today, otherwise I’m sure we wouldn’t be discussing him, since you are right he has little to do with today other than being an odd sort of person, and many consider trump to be rather odd as well.
