As we close our borders and become self sufficient we will see changes. Several states are considering laws to allow people to repair their own electronics. This can become important as we relearn the manufacturing skills that were exported along with the jobs that the “Job Creators” outsourced. It may take some time (say 8 years) before we can replace the outsourced manufacturing and manufacturing skills … just be patient.

The “Job Creators” will still worry about overhead and will still build automated “dark factories”, but if we amend our child labor laws , we can create a new fun after school activity for kids (doing the final assembly work) and keep labor costs low, so retail prices are kept the same. Learning robotic, automation, and AI software techniques will result in higher paying jobs for the go-getters. Nationalization does not have to be viewed as a bad thing, it’s all a matter of perspective and priorities.

Just as net neutrality becomes a thing of the past maybe we can enhance our social tiers as well, parameters being wealth, ethnicity, religion, etc? Being xenophobic, can simplify many aspects of life and eliminate those stressful choices and anxiety ridden “freedoms” that we’ve had to deal with.
