Happily, Joe Shlabotnik parlayed his mediocre baseball career into becoming a long-time color announcer for Hillcrest, made many well-received guest appearances on the “This Evening” show, did commercials for Johnson Darke Beer, and costarred on the sitcom “Mr. Reliant” and in the movie series “Minor League”. Seats in remote areas of stadia are known as the “Shlabotnik seats”.

Don’t worry Chuck. The internet is only 30 years away.

Today, Charlie Brown is publishing a Blog.

As lousy as Joe is, he’s a better hitter and fielder than Lucy, so she’s probably just jealous!

When I played Little League, every opposing player was “Joe Shlabotnik”. As in"C’mon pitcher, strike this Shlabotnik out".
