Bruce, you best watch those gang signs. They could get you in a bit of trouble.

Since participating in Penelope Perkins class, “Pilates and Plaid” at the Ballard Street Performance Arts Center, Bruce is pleased with the present professionalism of his previously unpolished posture …

He is has become particularly proud of the plasticity of his poses…

but is perhaps perturbed when he can no longer pass a planned period of pleasant inactivity without his arms proclaiming their proclivity for performance.

Please also his perfectly pleated pants…. prior to Pilates, he took Penelope’s ever-popular course in Origami Pants and Pajamas.

I’m a tad bit surprised to see that Bruce has assumed a more or less conventional “upright” posture. Were he in the chair otherwise, I think it safe to say that figuring out what to do with his arms would be the least of Bruce’s worries.

I have sent the fallowing feedback to GoComics about the changes

I have decided that i like the new format for GoComics.

After getting past the shock-of-the-new i noticed that the comics (except for some of the old reruns) are presented larger. No need for that expand icon in the middle of the comic. My eyes are getting bad enough that THAT makes it all worthwhile. I’m still not used to clicking on the little word balloon to get to the comments instead of clicking on the comic name, but that will come with time.

The second thing i noticed that i like i discovered when i looked at the comics on my smartphone. The old GoComics didn’t work so well on the smartphone and was severely glitchy. Its much better with this format. And, its far, far better than the GoComics smartphone app. (That thing is about as useless as nipples on a male.) I don’t have the free time anymore to comment as much as i like and I’m having to work to get through my long queue. Being able to read the comics on my phone helps with that.

The one thing that i defiantly don’t like is the round avatars.

Everything else that i don’t like about the site has to do with the changes made before the format change. I miss being able to post photos, and i miss being able to put in hyperlinks.

About copying the comic and concerning the “Reply” function…

A fellow going by the name of NeilWick here in GoComics built a couple of widgets that are available. One is for opening Reply en-mass, and the other is to copy the comic for storage elsewhere. Here’s the link:

Gweedo originally posted it here, in a reply I believe, and it may not had been seen by everyone.

    BaconBoyC…. THANK YOU!!

Great little codes…. very useful… I’d like to thank Neil too…

but thanks for bringing them to our attention.

    And Rose….

    Sorry, I’m confused.

Why are you “missing” my side-by-side?

I posted the link with the Cleo comments, as I said above, at

    http://www.gocomics.com/ballardstreet/2007/01/14

Tonight’s comments, of course, are at

    http://www.gocomics.com/ballardstreet/2007/01/15

And to those who are happy with the enlarged strips, instead of the magnifier….

I’m glad if they work for you….

But the thing is, the magnifier showed the full resolution file…. whether or not it fit your screen or you had to scroll it.

What they say they are doing now is optimizing the images for YOUR screen size…

which they detect, and serve an image that fits.

What they say is "So with this version we decided that, rather than have you click on the magnifying glass, we’d just show you the largest version your screen can accommodate. "

My computer these days is a small (14") laptop …. the screen is only 768 pixels high…

so I don’t get as big an image as some of you….

and I wish I could still use the magnifier and scroll the full resolution one.

If you flag someone, how do you know that it worked?

If you accidentally flag the wrong comment, how do you “un-flag” it?
