I wonder if we will have that “Race War” some of the Nazi’s and KKK types wanted. Manson’s plan was to start a “Race War” but of course it didn’t happen.

We see what we want to see, interpret it to support our prejudices, ignore what we must to maintain our illusions.

Clearly, the truth must lie exactly halfway between the fireman on the one hand, and the fire on the other.

    By definition, yes, they were.

“I suggest you look up the definition of “definition”. I can say I’m king of the world. Don’t make it so. The Nazis were absolutely NOT socialist. They were in most ways the exact opposite.”

    .

“the act of defining, or of making something definite, distinct, or clear”

    .

Socialism: “a political and economic theory of social organization that advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.”

    .

Yep, that’s what the Nazis did, regulated the whole kit and kaboodle.

Their goals were simply neither your goals nor mine.

:Yeah. I’m skeptical of the CIA, NSA, etc. Unless their findings agree with my distorted views.

“If the nazi’s were socialists why did they murder socialists and communists and throw them in concentration camps?”

    .

Because they were socialists of a different group, the same way criminal gangs kill members of other criminal gangs.

    .

“And why did support the Spanish facists under Franco during the Spanish Civil War? Why did they ally themselves with the Facist Italians and the Imperialist Japanese?”

    .

Because “Politics makes strange bedfellows” A racist like Hitler allied with Asiatics for political reasons.

This is the same reason we allied ourselves with the Soviet Union, arguably worse than Hitler. Stalin certainly murdered more millions than Hitler.

(He had more time to do it due to our intervention.)

    .

This shouldn’t be hard to understand.

“The essential flaw in your argument is that Nazis were socialists, simply because they had that word in their name.”

    .

Or possibly the flaw in yours is that you deny they could be socialists despite having policies fitting the standard definition because they were bad people and you believe bad people can not be socialists.

    They can.

    .

“However, they deliberately included “Socialist” in their name to sucker people into voting for them.”

    .

Because socialists are too stupid to realize the truth?

They had the name, given by the founders long before Adolf joined them because they believed in socialism — with them in charge, of course.

They had many standard socialist practices, including the production and distribution of The People’s Car, the Volkswagen.

    .

“It sounds to me like you have bought into a similar right-wing “logic” to attack true socialism,”

    .

I have not attacked socialism, just refused to reject the fact that it includes the Nazis and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics because both fit the definition.

    .

I have not limited it to them, but can see they are members and adherents of the way of thinking. I even voted for the commie, Bernie Sanders, over Hillary in the primaries because I consider him a better person even if not too swooft.

    .

    Socialists can mean well.

There were even some good Nazis, members of the party but not monsters — Schindler, for example, at least one in China who protected Chinese from Japanese.

Most just blindly obeyed their leaders.

(Socialism somewhat requires that — the assumption that the government knows what’s best for the people.)
