I have nothing but pity in my heart for the Trump believers. They are the victims of cruel poverty and/or ignorance. But my pity does not extend so far as to them putting our nation’s destiny at stake, which they have done in an effort to get rid of their own guilt.

I say “guilt,” citizens, because it was guilt that motivated them. They’ve committed no crime. They had merely broken a rigid and time-honored code of our society- we are to be ruled by conservative white Christian men. A code so severe, that whoever breaks it is hounded from our midst as unfit to live with. They must destroy the evidence of their offense.

But, what was the evidence of their offense? Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. They must put progress away from them. Hillary Clinton was to them a daily reminder of what they did.

What did they do? They allowed a Negro to be president. We were white, and then we elected a Negro. We did something that in our society is unspeakable. We officially acknowledged that a black man was our equal. No code mattered to them before they broke it, but it came crashing down on them afterwards. The Catholic liberal boys and the uppity black minister were ‘handled’. Now a woman as president?

The defenders of Trump have presented themselves to us, to this country, in the cynical confidence that their testimony would not be doubted; confident that we would go along with them on the assumptions- the evil assumptions – that all women lie, all liberals are basically immoral beings, all Latino men are not to be trusted around our daughters, all Jews are out to rob us.

Assumptions that one associates with minds of their caliber and which is, in itself, a lie which I do not need to point out to you. And so a patriotic, hardworking, respectable woman, who has had the unmitigated temerity to feel sorry for the uneducated, has had to put her word against men.

Hillary Rodham Clinton is not guilty, but some in this election are. Now, in this country, our Constitution is the great leveler. By our Constitution, all are created equal. I’m no idealist to believe firmly in the integrity of our Constitution and in our political system. That’s no ideal to me. That is a living, working reality. I am confident that we will review without passion the debacle now unfolding, and come to a decision in 2020 to restore this country to its ideals. In the name of Justice, do your duty. In the name of America, believe in positive progress.

If you can stomach it Google al Qaeda. I did and guess what gang, al Qaeda and Isis are thrilled with Drump’s win because they see this as the beginning of the death of America.

It’s nice how Daymockrats blame everyone but their own party for the defeat. Here’s a startling thought for you: if you wanted Trump to lose, maybe it might have been a good idea to put up a candidate against him who was not a repulsive, corrupt, mendacious, bloodthirsty war criminal and Wall Street shill? You know, someone normal people could actually bring themselves to vote for?

    .

Wonder who that might have been…..?

It is time to have the popular vote mean something and get rid of the electoral college. Go to dailykos.com and check out the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact. Some states have already joined.

May I ask, Why does anyone think Trump will readily start working with the same Republicans who distanced themselves from him and withdrew support during the election? — SERIOUS question for the hive mind.

As long as you didn’t vote more than once, as liberals are want to do, you can vote as redneck as you want. It had nothing to do with race. Remember, O claimed Hillary wasn’t qualified to lead our country in 2008, and just because he wants to collect millions in speaking fees like she and Bill do, he changed his mind so he could get in good with the Clintons. She lost by showing how she is a duplicitous, lying, individual who cannot be trusted to accept responsibility or tell the truth. She calls Trump a sexist while sleeping under the same roof with an unrepentant rapist. The pot calling the kettle black, and she got caught. Now maybe she will hold to her word, and just be happy being a Grandmother.

So, Mr. Bennett are you planning on drawing the President of the United States in a white sheet and a CSA uniform any time soon as you previously did when he was a candidate. I guess you have no respect for the highest office in the land, unless your choice is elected. Maybe you ought to read the Declaration of Independence, particularly the part about “consent of the governed.”

I do remember the good old days when Dixiecrat and Democrats met the same thing. Lynching and Democrat KKK separate but equal were one.

In 1996 we bought a small vacation home on Vancouver Island and immediately started remodeling and renovating. In 2001 we did some more and it has been up to the Mrs standards enough to live there year round if need be. I passed the Canadian boards in 2009 and can practice up there if I have to, or at least work up there and down here. I might take a teaching position at UBC or Simon Fraser because at least one is opening up at each school next year. 200 days down here and 160 or so up there per year will make it not so bad. Especially with the girls off to University next year in the UK. We might even sell the big house and move in to a condo. Truck Fump.

    The NPP

Yes, there were blacks in the Confederate army. Massa didn’t want to have any runaways back home, and wanted servants in the field (since slaveholders got automatic commissions, they got automatic servants, that’s the army way), but every one of those on the line, had as many, if not more, Confederate muskets pointing at them as Yankee.

This panel is extremely accurate. The only people who like Drumpf, are “like Drumpf.” Racist, sociopathic, narcissistic bullies. By now, the Confederate battle flag is a symbol of racist white supremacists, who have a LOT in common with Drumpf.
