This reminds me of my sister-in-laws wedding 25 years ago. My son was about 4 years old at the time and he was supposed to be the ring-bearer. He was an active little boy, and even though we rehearsed it a couple times at the wedding rehearsal, he was quite “active” going down the aisle at the Catholic church we used. Perhaps all the people and the long aisle so he kind of bounced down the aisle, I was a groomsman, but I wanted to go correct him, but the groom smiled and said just let him be he is okay. Fortunately the groom had the ring in his pocket anyway. Let her be too. That brings such sweetness and realness too the proceedings.

Remember, he’s not named Puddles for no good reason. The lady running the wedding cottage will not be at all pleased with the condition of the carpet after this ceremony.

I was the flower girl in my Aunt’s wedding 55 years ago. My Uncle still teases me. I evidently asked him after the wedding if he wished he had married me instead of Auntie Lena when he saw me.

Shannon is just acting her age. And isn’t she cute?

Yogi keeps whispering in my ear, “It ain’t over ’til its over.” Puddles doesn’t have a very strong leash, and Shannon doesn’t have a leash at all. What could go wrong?

Yeah, even though Shannon isn’t the “flour girl”,as the “flower girl”, she probably will still have a way of bringing some “petal-i-ness” into everyone’s lives, as they sit at the end of the aisles. Maybe they should have had somebody to be part of the wedding, to follow with a vacuum cleaner and somebody with a Dustbuster… just as long as they stay far away from Toni’s ‘Train’!

    -

Okay, Lol, a quick visual of the potentially catastrophic result, and now I see why they shouldn’t ….

Even though they all came to see Toni and Brad get married, Toni’s reaction to Shannon’s musing that she was going to be “the main event” was very understanding, tactful, discreet and caring!!!

I love happy endings and happy beginnings! Unfortunately Luann designed a dress that Great Aunt Flo could have worn in 1963. I’m glad Toni’s dress design was out sourced!

My 7 year old nephew was ring bearer at my wedding. He really wanted to throw the rice at us so someone gave him a handful. He didnt know we were going to take pictures right after the ceremony and in all our pictures, he has his hand up by his waist and you can tell that rice wasnt going anywhere until we were outside. 36 years later and I still get a smile when I look at the pictures.

Our middle daughter was flower girl for my sister. She arrived at the church and went straight up the aisle. I have to walk her back out so she could come up with the wedding party. No harm done, and everybody thought it was cute.

The thing is, when it’s Shannon’s time to walk down that aisle and do her thing, all eyes will be on her and she will be the star of the wedding. Nobody wants to miss that cute moment.

Toni looks great. Can’t say I’m a fan of Luann’s and Shannon’s dress design. It looks too close to a really old-fashioned nightgown to me. Take away the white parts, and it would be. Oh well, Luann was thrilled with it and Shannon obviously thinks she’s “all that” (lol) in hers, so it’s all good.

See as the Uncle that usually stirs up the nieces and nephews, I would have added a great deal of Glitter to those flower petals…People would have been reminded of the wedding for weeks to come as they found more glitter…

Rice birdseed at the end would have gotten the same treatment.. :)

Shannon sure is eager to throw those petals! Just like an eager 6-year-old. And perfectly normal. They will likely end up all in a few clumps. Some flower girls I’ve seen dole them out one at a time. Although I’ve only seen it one time, I’ve often heard of people including their dogs in the ceremony as ‘Best Dogs’ or ring bearers.

Greg is not being lazy, he is jumping around to add variety to things. To concentrate on just the ceremony would be boring. I’m expecting surprise faces to show up over the next few days. At our wedding, it was so hot that candle wax melted onto the carpet and the maid of honor fainted right at the altar. The priest jumped over the railing and caught her. We took our vows and she took smelling salts.

I think Toni and Brad will be carbon copies of Nancy and Frank. Now, Tiffany is the kind of girl you just date, but Rosa is the kind you marry. I’ll bet Knute and Crystal are already quietly living together. I still think that Mr. Gray is Gunther’s long missing father and his mom and Mr. Gray will elope to Las Vegas.

I find it interesting from his comments in the interview people have been referencing, that Greg is very aware of the call among some readers for Brad & Toni to adopt Shannon, and is playing it coy as to whether that may happen.
