Another busy day today, setting tables and decorating for tomorrow’s tea. Then tonight’s “girl’s night out” gun show. I am taking a friend with me, and it should be fun.
.
Almost had a panic attack yesterday. I need to buy 6 dozen mini-croissants for sandwiches tomorrow, and I found out that Costco doesn’t carry them anymore. After a few minutes of “what now???”, I remembered the “Great Buns” bakery and went over there. They do a lot of commercial baking for the smaller casinos and restaurants (as well as being open to the public – their sourdough bread and chocolate eclairs are awesome!), and I was able to order what I needed, and will pick them up this afternoon. A lot more expensive than Costco, but worth it.
.
It’s supposed to get up to about 55 today, and it is already 49. The sky is overcast, but not deeply so. Light jacket weather, I should think.
Our frigid air is continuing. It was -1.8 degrees during the night, and all the way up to 8 during the day! Woo Hoo! This should be the last of the frigid air. Supposed to get up to 24 tomorrow. :))
McPheeters, I understand the hating shopping part. I like knowing what we’re going to get whomever, and getting it, and getting out! Jack would rather wait in the car and read. After the dentist yesterday, we hit 5 stores……I was sooooooo ready to be at home in front of the fire. Fortunately, the crowds haven’t hit the stores up here yet. Monday we’ll be shipping stuff to North Carolina, so I imagine the post office will have a long line.

More snow flurries for today, the high, no more than 28.

How far is Houston from you David? For me a trip to Burlington is 1-1/2 hours one way. We think 70 miles one way. The roads are not straight.
.
Have a wonerful day Vagabonds.
