My busy Tuesday has been reduced to a morning prayer meeting and that’s it. The card game is gone because Joyce (our hostess) just entered hospice and isn’t expected to live more than another week. And the Tuesday evening bible study has been put on hold until January.

We got up the Christmas decorations yesterday, all except the tree and the trains around it. We’re working on a new concept for the trains, so it may be another week before we’re ready for the tree. Up to now we’ve had only the Lionel “O” scale train around the tree, but we have come up with a concept that will allow us to have the “HO” scale trains and eventually the “N” scale trains as well. We have the Santa Fe “Warbonnet” engine in all three scales, and we’re looking forward to having all three running at the same time. We’re having fun conceptualizing and building the platforms.

The high today is expected to be 61, and the current temp is 49. I may not even need a jacket today. That’s one nice thing about the Nevada desert, during the winter it stays tolerable in the daytime, but cold (sometimes below freezing) at night. I love being able to snuggle under my blankets at night.
It got down to 3.7 degrees this a.m.!!!! Mike (weather) said it was-gonna get cold, but 3.7? Golly! This is the coldest we’ve had in 2 years. It really is an Arctic Blast!
All the snow from yesterday is still around. I guess it will be the base for the snows to come. Everything is mighty pretty!

Good morning Vagabonds.
Looks like a good day today with the temp in the mid 40’s, during the day, which is normal for this time of year.
Same for the rest of the week except for Thurs and Fri. it will get down to 18 or 19 in the middle of the night.

Just gon’a lay low today, go for the mail, that sorta thing. Do have to find an ignition switch for my tractor, I’ll need it for snow removal soon.
