CRANKSHAFT: I don’t get it. What does the Christmas tree on the roof of Car 54 have to do with it (if Santa, I mean Cranky, was speeding or ran a stop sign or something). ??? Can anyone explain today’s strip to me…please.
Crankshaft – @Florchi – Instead of hiding behind the bushes like cops do in a speed trap, this one disguised his car as a civilian carrying a Christmas tree.
Crankshaft – And did you notice the number on the police vehicle? A reference to “Car 54, Where Are You.”
Funky – Cindy accepted the explanation very easily. Most commenters at CK think the main story is how Marianne suffers because of this. I don’t see how this is so bad.
Judge Parker – After 3 months of misery, everyone’s coming home. Hope we get some explanations that make sense. Rex Morgan – Isn’t it dangerous for the bus driver to be using his phone? I guess it was while he was still stopped.
Phantom – I asked yesterday where this is taking place. In the beginning, we thought NYC because of Lee Falk’s appearance. But place would be immaterial to him.
