Allegorically speaking, though, “Todd” means “death”, so Baby Todd may symbolize the ferryman bringing Tom across the river Styx to the afterlife… If Tom is dead, then his clothes may reappear if he identifies with them as part of his body image. Or it’s just cartoon physics.
