Well you see, someone has to pay all those fines the company got socked with. At least the idiot at the top finally got called to task for the evils of the company he runs. We need more of this. When and only when the greed at the top gets punished for the crimes (moral, ethical and legal) of the company will “ethics” ever begin to invade business again.
A better announcement would be hundreds of high ranking executives were indicted, tried and convicted for fraud, serving sentences of 10yrs at a minimum.
People will either drift away from Wells Fargo or slowly forget, either way the pampered rich at the top will be alright in this bank or some other company where they can continue to leech off of hard working Americans. I don’t think Clinton or Trump are going to stand up to these guys, but I know which party caught this and which one wants to end those pesky regulations.

I’m shocked to hear that executives are paying in any way for what they’ve done. It would be nice if it was a precedent.

The clawback is less than half his total compensation for the year. Previous years’ comp is untouched.
Prison? Yeah,sure.Indictments? Nuh-uh.Charges? Not even.
Fired employees? Still fired.
