The total lack of character and integrity among Republican politicians is simply mind blowing. Are they so afraid of losing their jobs or status that none of them will take a stand for what is right and moral?

Patriotism?Dodged the draft with ‘bone spurs’ that disappeared.(Okay, so dodging the draft is a Republican principle)Openly supports the former head of the KGB over the American president.Invites Russia to attack his opponent.
Loyalty?Let’s ask Mitt Romney, aka Willard the Chickenhawk. He supposedly lost “hundreds of friends” in the 9/11 attacks, but attended the funeral of not a single one.

Odds are he was either threatened with a real primary opponent, or he was bribed in some way. You can be sure this was a carrot or stick situation. If Perry ran against him in the primary, Cruz would go down the toilet from which he came.
