    I lived in Northern Michigan. We used an old Physics approach to Winter: There is no such thing as “cold”, what you are experiencing is the absence of heat.While technically true, it really didn’t help much.

    Nothing but theTruthPotentially? Several Arctic villages have had to relocate already because of sea level rise and the absence of sea ice to prevent littoral erosion.

    “Back in the day” (I don’t like that phrase) it was considered cool (pardon the pun) to be “ice cold” or “cold blooded”. Many nicknames came from that attitude.Even the French had a term, “Sang froid”, literally “Cold blood”.
