When could the NFL ownership be credited with common sense … Just look at the ridiculous salaries they pay.{ They are shrewd though — look at how they fleece taxpayers all over the nation when the taxpayers foot the bill for new stadia! ]
I never could understand why the taxpayers have to foot the bill for sports stadiums when the teams and players make so damn much money. I’m not a big sports fan but even if I was I would not be going to any games because I couldn’t afford the tickets.
I’ve tried a couple of responses, but this stupid cartoon is so unpatriotic, illogical and moronic that there’s really nothing to say except, geez, Bob, how do you figure out which end of the pen makes the marks?
Cities subsidize stadiums because an NFL team brings in a great deal of revenue to local businesses – a great deal. If said city or county doesn’t want to, then the team is free to find somewhere that is, and there are plenty.
