He knows very well what love is Lucy, he just doesn’t want yours.

I think Lucy didn’t want the Oxford or Webster definition.

Hate to break it to you, Lucy, but one can also love a bet, a food or foods, an object, or a thing. Schroder loves a thing. Music. To be more precise he loves a composer, Beethoven. I don’t believe it is romantic love, but it is love none the less.

I thought love means never having to say you’re sorry.

Well you are on paper

Maybe the reason artists are good on paper is that they have trouble expressing their feelings any other way…just a theory.

Schroder’s made it pretty clear over the years that it’s not just a paper issue! Besides pulling his piano out from under her; as Charlie Brown’s catcher, he’s forever having to fend off her verbal advances!

Schroeder is all theory, no practice…….

A comic strip called “Love is…” used to be on GoComics but I don’t think it’s on any more now.

You’re right! It did used to be here, and I thought it was cute, though I didn’t read it often. You’re also right that it’s not on here any more, as I don’t see it in the alphabetical list.

Spanky and Our Gang put the Webster Collegiate Dictionary definition of “Love” to music in the late 60s…
