    I would declare the last week of summer: No shirt, no shoes, no reading, writing or any activity having to do with paper… Then the next Happy Hollister book would come. Ok, I’d give in for that. Still no shoes or shirt.

    At Lake Mead we have a big party two weeks after Labor day.We call it ’ Taking back our lake ’ ( from the tourists )…

    When I did Nothing or was Bored, I certainly didn’t do it at home! My Parents had a ready made cure for that particular Malady!

    This goes back to the end of my first grade, I won’t say exactly when but it was quite a while ago. In my own memory, however, starting school in a new grade was always an adventure.
