Oh do I recognize this! I once got up a little before 5 a.m. because I was awake and for days after that my cats did their best to persuade me that 5 a.m. was the proper time to get up and feed them!
Fortunately, Jingle Belle Katt seems willing to sleep in until the alarm at 5:00 and often stays snug in bed until I get out of the shower. THEN the meowing and parading back and forth to the kitchen. My husband made up a song reflecting our morning routine:

Well, what is the nutritional value of ghosts?

Breakfast-o-clock, oh my, how unforgivable! Time to wake the snoozers.

Again, each panel has a payoff. This is often like four cartoons in the space others offer a single gag. Georgia Dunn is a generous creator.

Love Puck’s pocket watch in the last panel.

Uh-oh, are we about to activate the dreaded Swish option? (“9, 10, swish ’em again” comes to mind….)

Is that a little pocket watch Puck is holding, looking at with his little demon eyes ? Live coverage of the continuing kibble crisis!

In my house outside-o-clock comes first but breakfast-o-clock is very close behind, both are usually before 6am

BCN now in the daily Houston chronicle, congrats, but I miss the long form strips, perhaps Sundays?

Could each week work like a 20-panel long form strip/mini-story?

HOW??? Could anyone sleep thru ‘breakfast O’clock" – hair ball sound by the ear – that will get them LOL
Zev about 7 years ago
It’s always breakfast o’clock – somewhere in the world.

Hmm, I don’t remember any of the cats with watches, pocket or otherwise. I like it.

In regards to the ‘missing’ mouths, I think it’s more of lips so thinned the mouth disappears into the fur
Elettaria about 7 years ago
Yep, the hairball sound will have you up and looking around in seconds. Also the “does she have a mouse?” situation.

“what is the nutritional value of ghosts…” lol!

Ladies and Gentlemen, this is why you don’t feed your cats in the morning. (Try the evening and/or afternoon)
