Amen to that.

It is nice to have a reason to get up in the morning.

Prostate biopsy: The day starts with an enema and goes downhill after that. A pint of vodka for breakfast makes it more bearable.

Then they decide on prostate radiation and another procedure is needed to place the gold markers. Same routine as the biopsy with a bigger needle. More pain – fewer pokes.

I’m getting to that age where if I can get up at all, I’m happy!!

I will have to remember this next time Dr. starts asking leading questions about PSA tests. The last time he asked if I got up to go to the bathroom I said, “Of course I do, I have alcohol before I retire and once it clears out, I stop getting up to go to the bathroom!” That seemed to mollify him and he stopped trying to find more things wrong with me.

Get that PSA tested. Wish I had done it 10 years earlier. When you finally die, you really want it to be from something else. The biopsy, markers, radiation and hormone therapy still beat the alternative. And I pee better today than before all that.

I once heard a comment that struck me as being so true…“Any day that I get up, get out of bed, and go to the bathroom, IN THAT ORDER, is a good one.”

As long as I didn’t make the Irish Sports Page ( the obituaries ) ,or the Police Log, in the newspapers, then I know it’s going to be a good day !

With age comes issues I never dreamed of when I was 20! However…I’d rather get up at night (which I can still do) than the alternative…6 feet under. However. I about fell off my chair when I first read this…way too funny, I guess because I relate..??

Don’t worry about it till your ship docks. then, just make sure the anchor is secure! It will take care of itself!!
