Change of season gives Calvin something new to complain about.

You get bored in the summer, and irritated at school. It’s just so hard to be happy in life.

Parents need to get the kid busy, so busy he’ll complain about it and they play recorded bits of his complaints over having nothing to do.

Calvin hasn’t caught on to the fact he is in a temporal loop destined to live and re-live the first grade forever.

A whole year? Isn’t it a whole nine months before another three months off? Although when you’re that age, nine months does feel like forever. I wish time could pass that slowly again.

I think school is a wonderful thing. It will be even more awesome next September when Bolg joins Azog in school.

I’ve been there. Summer ’98 was particularly fun for me!

When we homeschooled, we had a 4 day week, and a summer break from Memorial Day to Independence Day. Once it became July, it was too hot that the kids didn’t want to play outside, so it worked well to start school again, to keep the fighting, and bickering down to a tolerable level. (They could always find a reason to complain.)

I hate summer. It’s supposed to end on September 22nd so I’m counting down the days!

How can anyone like the hot weather?

Although the kids didn’t agree with us at the time, we told our girls not to be in such a hurry to grow up; because you will only get to be a kid once!

Now that I am much older, I really do want to be a kid again, and occasionally when I am trying, my wife stands there with clenched fists at her hips and says, “Now cut that out, or I’m sending you out to the garage!”
