I just saw that movie and it totally does deserve to win all the Oscars.
But this is a rerun, so I’m really only saving about $5.00. Or rather $1.50, since I’m reading it in my own home.
I get all my movies on Netflix, so I’m saving nothing.
Don’t forget all the flashy special effects that take the place of plot development.
Remember, kids: This is not a substitute for renting the actual blockbuster movie from the library.
With over 100 years of film making in our history, it’s almost impossible to come up with a new title, let alone a new plot. It’s all been done before. I’m not saying there aren’t good movies being made, just that the plots seem familiar.
Novels going back centuries have done it all before. But it is how it is done that makes one genius, the other mediocre.
I love the randomness of this strip!
