More honest than most kids I knew on first day of school. If you hated school, you didn’t admit it. Then again most of the teachers I had would have made your life even more miserable if they knew for certain you hated school.

Well, at least the teacher only ride and didn’t repremended her. You should be more careful on what you say. A nice lie is sometimes better than the brutal truth.

Was it Sally who got out of writing on the board in kindergarten “because of her bursitis”?

Ironically lunch boxes are coming back in style as a environmentally friendly way to avoid throwing away a paper bag every day.______________________________

You won’t believe what I saw in the store last week: it was an insulated lunch bag made to look like a brown paper bag!!! Best of both worlds, I guess.

I’m reminded of the “My Weird School” series I read when I was in second grade. The main character would always start the book with “My name is A.J. and I hate school.”

Where I went to school it was the teachers who introduced themselves with “…and I hate school.”

Sally might as well admit she hates school. The teacher’s going to figure it out pretty quickly.

VIDLERS in East Aurora, NY, is an ages old fashioned 5&10 store. They have lots of iconic print, metal lunch boxes. A lunch sack that looks like you are “brown baggie it” sounds great to me!

from yesterdayWe all had lunchboxes in my family, usually based on TV shows. Mine, I’m proud to say, was a Peanuts lunchbox (with a Peanuts thermos, so there!)

I seem to recall that lunch boxes were for the younger kids, and as you got to 5th, 6th and up it was the brown bag. And those darn glass-lined Thermoses were the bane of a kid’s existence!

The food always had a slight “rusty” taste to it. And the thermos was glassed lined. You’d catch h*ll if you brought it home with that glass liner broken! Mom would have to buy a new one, and then your thermos wouldn’t match the lunch box picture anymore.
