    Good morning Vagabonds.

Looks like Monday might be an on-off day for showers around here. Not heavy, just annoying. Will be in the 70’s.

Forecast for our island is bleak… coastal flooding, high winds and beach erosion… with the possibility of power outages.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

McPheeters, I guess it is your turn for the catastrophic weather. You will be in my prayers until it is over.

It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood. Forecast is for 99 today and 91 tomorrow. It will get down to 71 tonight, so I will be able to open up the windows for some fresh air for a change.

David, I saw your question on FBoFW. If you have any questions about the strip or its history, just ask here. Easier than getting multiple answer. Also Lynn’s website is FBorFW.com

Good morning Vagabonds..It is another cool morning here in Mid-MO. Currently 63 with a predicted high of 79. Definitely feels like an early fall..McPheeters I have added you to my prayer list as well..

Ladies: I know how lucky I am to have my children and grandchildren here. I am originally from northern Ohio. My parents would come here in early June and take the kids to Ohio then we would go out in July or August and bring them home..Everyone have a great day!

    Good afternoon, Vagabonds,

I had one of my rare insomnia bouts last night. Didn’t fall asleep until after 4 a.m.! Ugh! But, I still wanted to go out to the Farmer’s Market for some fresh local veggies…..including corn. YUM! So, I am fading fast. I’ll nosh on some carrots, then take a short nap.

Our weather is awesome! 74 yesterday, and we were able to open all the windows because they have that wild fire pretty much out, with northerly winds instead of SW winds. Sounds like everyone has good plans going.

McPheeters, you will be in my prayers and thoughts, too. Please keep us posted.

    GOOD SUNDAY MORNING VAGABONDS.

Hard to believe that it’s the fourth of September.

Looks like the only effects we are going to get from Hermine

is a nor’easter of sorts thru Tues. Mostly wind but not much

rain for my area. About 1/2 inch. More along the south coast

and islands. The High is keeping it from coming inland and

eventually will push it out to sea.

Howdy Vagabonds. Our good weather continues although high clouds are now in the forecast.Hope we hear from McPheeters soon, he and all those folks down there need our prayers..It’s been five years since Irene bulled her way into southern Vermont doing a great deal damage, washing out roads, bridges, houses and a cemetery..As good a day to you as you can have everybody..ttfn

    Good Morning, Vagabonds,

Another beautiful day in our neighborhood. Supposed to have a bunch of rain today and tomorrow. Whoopee!! Every time they promise that, we’ll be lucky to get a drop or two. So, let’s see this time.

Jack is out doing his lumberjack impersonation. This will be our first wood stove fire of the season……if it will be as cold as promised.

    Enjoy your Sunday, friends.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Well, it only got up to 97 yesterday, but the overnight low did not get down below 80. Darn! Things are cooling off slowly, though. We’ll try again tonight when the low is forecast at 67 while today’s high should be about the same as yesterday.

I spent several hours working on a quilt yesterday. I have 17 squares to make and I’ve done 7. The rest are laid out and ready to sew. I have a huge kitchen island with the sewing machine at one end and a small ironing board at the other. I make a circuit around the island every time I sew something together. Sew, snip threads, press seams, fit the next piece into the square and sew again, etc. It works and I get some exercise. Someone had cut up a bunch of fabric that has “I Love Lucy” panels from the chocolate factory episode. I have used one of these panels as a center of each square, so the end product will be for a “Lucy” lover.

Off to church now, and I will actually be teaching today. The second service teacher has called in with a migraine. I am totally unprepared, but the kids won’t know that. And it’s Donut Sunday, too!

No kids in church today for either service. Oh well, at least I got a donut.
