Kenny needs to be clipped for the summer.
I had a Border Collie that would do this. Summer days look out and all you would see is the tip of his black nose resting on the edge of the water trough.
We had a Husky/Samoyed/German shepherd mix in the New Orleans ’burbs. Two years of that heat made her winter coat switch to summer.
