Hello All; I came across this video while doing research into the “common core” issue. Now, I’m leery about ANYTHING that goes this far in depth so that it sounds like tin hats – but I haven’t found anything to disprove what he says. It is a LONG video – but if you listen to what Duke says, and consider it, you’ll be TERRIFIED of the future of the USA.

What would the safety officer say if we pointed out that participation trophies can be used as blunt weapons?

There are many children locally but they are almost never seen outside playing. Part of that is parents who think they are reducing risks, but besides having reduced socialization skills with their peers, sarcopenia (low amount of muscle mass), and so on, these kids may face an increased risk of autoimmune diseases that will affect them life long. For example:http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/27289166Which begins“The ultraviolet (UV) radiation contained in sunlight is a powerful immune suppressant. While exposure to UV is associated with protection from the development of autoimmune diseases, particularly multiple sclerosis, the precise mechanism by which UV achieves this protection is not currently well understood”

Oh, clarification, for those not used to this way for writing:Note that the autoimmune disease RISK is increased, so the chances of developing them is higher in those who do not spend sufficient time outside than it otherwise would be, and in those who develop them many such problems once acquired affect a person lifelong. It is said that so many kids are not outside running around, playing together, being inventive, and having fun that way. Do injuries happen? Yes. Might not allowing those risks be even more dangerous? Yes.

That paint the kids are watching dry better be on the other side of a vapor-proof window, or it better be one of those newfangled no-volatile-organic-compound paints…. ;-)

everyone knows that pi is not exactly 3. It’s exactly 3 1/7. Pythagoras said that all numbers could be expressed as relationships of integers and he was right.
