You should not get in the habit of just throwing out the term “Radical Islam”. Yes, there are extremists in all faiths including Christianity such as Pastor Roger Jimenez from Verity Baptist Church in Sacramento, CA who is full of hatred instead of God’s love. We also need to remember that Christians, Jews and the Islamic Faith all worship the same God and that God loves us all equally.

As an aside, I am tired of hearing about common-sense solutions as common-sense ideas have often proven wrong.I would like reasonable ideas and solutions, and I have read some from conservatives, republicans, moderates, democrats, independents, libertarian, liberal, religious, non-religious, etc, etc, etc. If they are reasonable I consider them.I looked at neal bortz’s flat tax and thought it might be workable until I studied the program and realized it wouldn’t.
Autos are regulated, design failures raise ire and recalls, but guns are now killing more than “accidents” on the road- there are not many accidents, most traffic deaths are the result of violations or stupidity. Guns are INTENDED to kill, and are far more effective than edged weapons, blunt objects, or even cars used as weapons (about 30 times a year against police officers).
If God cannot contradict Himself, why would he go from eye for an eye to love one another? There are contradictions all over the bible. The god of the Christian, Jewish and Muslim faiths are all the same god from the Old Testament. Does it hurt your feelings that you worship the same god? or find comfort in the fact that you really aren’t that different and we can work out our problems?
