A few years ago I was walking my dog on a hot day when a neighbor kindly brought him a dish of water. The dish had a “bone” painted on the bottom that looked like a milk bone. The dog went crazy trying to grab that milk bone out of the water! Eventually he turned the bowl over, thinking the bone must be underneath. That was the only time I ever saw him stick his face under water.
