GRAND AVENUE BY STEVE BREEN & MIKE THOMPSON Mr. D.: I'm a teacher, it's well into my summer break and my pupils have been with their parents full-time for weeks. Mr. D.: And I'm imagining the parents who chewed me out for mentioning their kids' rotten behavior. Mr. D.: If karma were a semi truck, those parents would be roadkill.

If you have a friend who is a teacher and doesn’t read the comics, make sure you pass this on to them! They WILL laugh out loud!!

This is so spot-on. Having worked in a middle-school cafeteria where the students eat, not the kitchen was a real eye-opener. Once I figured out how they ticked, I earned their respect and love. A great learning experience.

Why do teachers think parents do not know what their kids are like? If kids are home at around 4 pm and go to bed around 9 pm they are with their parents for nearly as long as they are at school. And then there are weekends. People do know what their kids are like.
