For readers not familiar with Scary Go Round, Erin was sent to Hell (due to the machinations of a time-travelling Satanist). Once there, she managed to take over; after a few years, though, she got bored of ruling Hell and worked her way back to Earth. However, being sent to Hell caused everyone on Earth to completely forget about Erin’s existence. So she’ll meet people she knew before, but they won’t realize that they had ever met. Including Shelley, but that won’t be for a while.
The third panel looks to me as if an air vent in a building has a small face that’s very made up. You can see the air duct behind the rectangle with the face on it.
