Never heard of a self-winding analogue wristwatch before.

They have self winders. Electric or battery. You put the watch in & it periodically rotates the watch. I got one for my hausband as he has numerous watches & when he tried to use the self winder it was always down.

I’m wearing an Invicta self winding watch right now. One can also manually wind it. It’s too nice to wear to work, every Friday I have to set it and manually wind it so I can wear it on the weekend.

When my father died, I, at the age of 10, got his self-winding watch. After that, I managed to find new self-winding watches when the old ones died, until I went digital, with batteries. When the new Apple Watch came out, I quit wearing a watch altogether. I have an iPhone if I want to know the time.

Oh, I love my self-winding (also known as “automatic”) diver’s style watch! However, I wear my cheap $10.00 digital watch to work, because it’s more waterproof and cheaper to replace. P.S. I’m the last one in my family who wears a wristwatch….
