Howdy Vagabonds.Foggy this morning after a night of rain. Eden, a town just West of us over the ridge (I guess puts us East of Eden) claims they had 5” of rain over night. Thunder and lightning came with the wet down as well..Not a lot happening so I’ll keep a low profile and enjoy the day. I hope you will also enjoy the day..ttfn

VERY pleasant day on our island so far. A wonderful break from all the rain and storm clouds.

Good morning everyone. Pleasant here in Mid-MO as well 60’s at the moment and will only rise to the low 80’s today. We have scattered showers in the area so humidity will be high. Would rather have dry heat than humidity..David, that was a pretty good bit of trivia, I always love reaching back in my memory for the answers.

Well is seems that housework will not do itself, so I had better get busy. :)

    Everyone have a great day!!

    Hi Ho, Vagabonds,

Ran our errands yesterday afternoon, but it was unpleasantly HOT……it got up to 92 at our house. Supposed to have more of the same the next few days. That big ole Vortex fan placed at the bottom of the lower level of our house keeps the upstairs at a manageable temp of 80-ish. When our house was built, the folks decided the summers are so short that the expense for air conditioning wasn’t worth it. Last summer we only had 11 days over 90 degrees, and nothing over 100.

This is the kind of weather that I use all of my “plan overs” for dinner. I stock up “meals” in the freezer so all I have to do is defrost, heat and serve some wonderful food. Thanks to my handy dandy slow cooker.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Rita, I love my slow cooker, too. I don’t utilize it nearly often enough, though. Mostly because I forget until it is too late.

David, after I posted my answer yesterday, I looked up My Three Sons and Bub’s “real” name was Michael Francis O’Casey. Uncle Charley O’Casey was his brother. I think I remember Charley appearing on their doorstep after Bill Frawley died wearing a pea coat and had just retired from the merchant marine or some other sea-related profession.

We got the rain yesterday. Not much and not long, but it did rain off and on. That didn’t stop the temp from topping 100, though. Today’s supposed to be 106 with higher humidity than we are used to because of all the moisture leftover from the rain. We’re usually in the single digits humidity wise, and it’s over 30% at the moment. I know that sounds low for some folks, but for here it is nasty.

My burglar pled guilty to “attempted grand larceny of a firearm” (a class C felony) and will be arraigned on the burglary charge on the 11th. I’ll go back for that one whether or not Michael is called to testify. I’ve been praying for her. She needs salvation more than she needs jail time.

I was wrong, we did get some heavy rain this morning at about 3:30 am (edst). I didn’t hear it as I was fast asleep.
