Gold is about $1200 per ounce right now. I think I’ll come back here in a year and see how it has changed.
Everyone will be lucky if there is 1/4 oz. of 12 carat gold in the cane.
The value of the cane isn’t in the gold, it’s the sentiment the cane represents and the value the city bestows on it’s senior citizens.
