The lamp post sprouted from a lamp post cross piece brought by the magicians nephew at the creation of Narnia. Fascinating that it can be uprooted, even if Jadis has not been conquered yet.
To all those who are saying they don’t get it, Sophie and Doug have re-entered Narnia (CS Lewis’ The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe). The lamp post lying on the ground is the original Narnia lamp post. They’re saying they should have come back sooner because they waited so long that Narnia is now modernized. The Faun leaning against the new street lamp appears to be quite chagrined at the new development.

The original lamppost is definitely more appealing than those new ones!

Looks like Dog and Doug went through the wardrobe and their nice little lamp post got turned into a suburban heck.

Narnia. And there was always a time dilation for those who journeyed to Narnia. Time went faster there. Hope little Dougies folks are still around.

Tumnus really needs to have an umbrella, to make it clearer.

What’s so bad about modern lampposts? They work better.
