Is that Schroeder? The original lineup was CB, Violet, Patty, and Shermy, the four oldest kids who one would assume are old enough to “tricks or treats” by themselves (in that time, anyway), so poor Shermy has already been displaced.

“Tricks or treats” makes sense. Give us two or more treats or we’ll play two or more tricks on you. But it sounds odd these days.
