Howdy Vagabonds. It looks like the beginning of triple H weather (hazy, hot, humid). Channel 3 is showing 80s for the weekend and of course T-storms for Memorial Day, hopefully in the afternoon..Been getting the grave flags out on veterans graves, last night we got the village cemetery, this afternoon we go to the town cemeteries, 6 in all, most of them postage stamp sized with a half dozen or less flags to put out. My dad and I did this for years for the town, now the Albany Historic Society takes care of it, my sister and I do the job..All of ya have a good one..ttfn

    Good Morning, Vagabonds,

We’re still on GrandBaby watch………today is the due date……

We had a lovely discussion at our daughter’s house over dinner last night…………all the characters from Howdy Doody! Boy, did you set off a wonderful trip down memory lane, Jan. Jack remembers seeing the show much earlier, and it was on the Dumont Network in Pittsburgh, and he even remembers the time was around 5 p.m. when the broadcast day started.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Mark, I salute your efforts to put out the flags.

Another warm day here, too. It’s already above 70, headed up to 88. The weekend is supposed to be mid to high 80’s and above 90 all next week. Air Conditioner season has arrived.

For the first time in several years, Memorial Day will be celebrated on Memorial Day (5/30). It is easy for me to remember that date because – before they changed it to a Monday holiday – a good friend was killed in the crash of his military jet on Memorial Day. He died a hero, though. His jet flamed out and couldn’t be restarted. He stayed with it long enough to maneuver it away from the base housing where the spouses and children were before he tried to eject. They found the ejection levers up in the release position, but it was just that second too late.
