The future can look pretty depressing, thinking about working at the same job, your entire life.

Nothing wrong with that. He could open his own auto parts store or buy this one and his Impala rag-top will become a reality overnight.

Gotta wonder what the burger “flappers” ’n counter people in the fast food joints in California would think when they get their $15 an hour in 2022 ?

" A good customer service representative is hard to find,….A personwith good customer service skills can always find a job "

How very true ! People in the U.S. particularly, have by and large lost the ability to give good customer service. It’s difficult enough to find someone who can be polite and smile but finding a person willing to go that extra mile to help a customer, is like finding a needle in a haystack !

You’re correct, also, in saying that people with those skillsets, can go anywhere, and quickly rise in the ranks.

Unfortunately, what used to be the norm – manners, good listening skills, eagerness to please etc -. has gone the way of the Dodo. So much so, that when we do receive, what used to be standard service, we consider it exceptional.

Not only has the quality of customer service fallen but so have our expectations !
