Most of my strips are not coming up, and no one has commented here. I will try to find some things! First of all, what is the smoking policy at the Tiki?

NOBODY is smoking around me! Got it!

There is a no smoking policy inside the Tiki, ask Susan! However you can have at it on the patio, as long as you stay 25 feet from the building. Yes I know that would put you in the middle of the Koi Pond, but whatever.Hmmmph

One too many of these situations is the reason Hobart is on the front porch with Skipper. Skipper now has an abject fear of paper bags.

Well now, yes, it might seem to make sense that virtual smoke…. being…. um… you know… virtual…would be allowed…BUT…. here’s the thing….while the Tiki is very real to me, and I hope to all our customers…and to all the denizens of Ballard County…and every visitor….

It’s still, on some levels, a virtual bar.

Virtual smoke is …. um…. virtually real, inside a virtual bar….So, as Rose suggested, we do have a No Smoking Policy.

Though if you wish to enjoy a virtual cigarette, pipe, or cigar, while you are here inside the bar…. you may…but we have to respectfully ask that you go out the back door, into the patio area, and walk around to the back side of the volcano…You’ll be about 57 feet 4 inches from the back door, which is even more than the 25 feet Rose surmised.About 32 feet 4" more, in fact.

We’ll be screened from your virtual smoke… plus you’ll be hidden from view.

If you wish to enjoy a real, ie non-virtual, smoke….walk out the front door, instead….and keep going in any direction for at least 100 yards….

And then find someplace where they don’t mind if you smoke.

We do hope you’ll come back later.

I remember the good old days (when I was 12) I could smoke in airplanes, on buses, we could even smoke in class at the continuation school. I like the smell of pure tobacco. Natural American Spirit®

Although I abhor cigarettes, I love the smell of pipe tobacco. Reminds me of my dad.

Dad was a Camel’s smoker for most of his life. Eventually, after many years of subtle nagging from my mother and the changing times, he went to smoking a pipe ( which I think irritated my mother even more than the cigarettes !

I started smoking ( secretly of course ) about age 11. By the time I was 40, I smoked at least a pack a day and usually burned a lot more. I say burned because I would perpetually light one up, have a drag or two and set in in the ashtray while I continued working.

I quit cigarettes, cold turkey, over 30 years ago and don’t miss the addiction at all !

You guys are ‘SMOKIN’! I never smoked and so glad I didn’t.Rose – the koi pond is a great place for the smokers as long as they don’t leave anything in the pond. Bobarion – not nice. Linguist – funny story about your rancher uncle.

I have the same problem with strips not coming up. ‘Just keep clicking. They’ll come around. “Geech” frequently is partially blacked out. No cure so far.

If I am smoking I am on fire…….if you could please put me out or at least let me know. The last time I was on fire and smoking I took the full force of water at 300psi. I was a volunteer fireman at the time. The old place had dynamite stored in there and we did not know. Another firefighter saw the room on fire with the explosives and ran by me yelling get out. An explosion blew me out the window as I was climbing out. The flash caught my gear on fire. My buddies saw me getting up on fire so they hosed me off. It also rolled me back into the debris of the now blown up building. Which exploded again. I got up making a full sprint to safety while smoking dodging the water from the hose as they continued to try to save me by drowning me.All in all it was good shift.

Bev, I keep going back to the gorillas. I am not up to date as far as current “smoking” procedures, whatever they are smoking. Seems to be some kind of banana aerosol? He is blowing smoke, she is inhaling?
