They are on the 52nd floor and they can still hear the noise? Must be midtown Manhattan. I still remember when my wife and I were there on the 57th floor of a Sheraton and at 2 am I could hear the street below still alive. I think I went downstairs because I could not sleep, and there was a deli still open right across the street.

Is Bernice natural performance art? Does she transform into a cicada in her sleep? Is she 17? If so, she might. Do not tell any insectivores.

Is she perhaps not the source of the sound, and will our intrepid young detectives, in seeking out the source, meet an interesting person they never would have known?

Will they grow up enough to treat suggestions as only suggestions and follow their own muse(s)?

    What will we learn tomorrow?

Pru has pretty quirky tastes. I think I’d skip at least the “Two guys do zip” show, because it is probably 100% truth in advertising: a show where two guys literally do absolutely nothing for two hours, after which, all of the hoity-toity artsy types with one pinky in the air walk out exclaiming how “existential” and “thought-provoking” it was, going on pretentiously about it ad nauseum. (I can see Zebo being a fan of that one.) Which would make it easy to skip it and just say you saw it. After all, there’s no plot, no nothing. Just two guys doing zip.

Because I live out west in the Northern Rockies, I thought “two guys do zip” was some kind of reference to zip lines, with guys wildly careening between skyscrapers. Sadly, quite the reverse, I guess.

You can tell a serial snorer because they have been bruised and bloodied by their wives. I wake up sore most mornings.

As I’m sure you are aware, Resident Advisors are supposed to make sure that residents are abiding by all rules. Usually, dorms have rules about noise levels, especially for late night hours.

7Interesting. Snoring is indeed something challenging for some folks to deal with. My wife tells me that I snore only quite rarely, and it is usually predictable where I have either a) done considerably above average amounts of physical labor on a given day, or b) after I have had a few drinks, such as at a wedding reception or the like. For some reason, snoring as a type of noise, is difficult for me to deal with. I think the noise and pattern must remind me of someone struggling or some such thing, because it sets off all sorts of stress hormones in me and I feel tense and unable to sleep. My wife snores on occasion as well, and for me, the solution that works well, is that I have for those rare occurrences, a few sets of foam ear plugs. The ear plugs dampen the sound and prevent that anxious/anxiety response and I can sleep easily.

In regards to Pru’s schedule…. the Knish Bakery sounds appealing and interesting, and the experimental art show might be worth a shot…. but the “Zip” guys…. I, like many others here, would suggest perhaps leaving that one off the menu. I would suggest that they both need to “schedule” in exploring time to just walk around and see the city life.

Hi, guys! ;) I decided to stop by and see what Luann has been up to! Had to catch up from June 2015 (fortunately my hub has a super-fast processor!). I think the girls absolutely Must ride on a subway! Its not NYC without it! One gets to see absolutely Every kind of people on earth…great for people-watching! (However, be sure to do the New York MYOB non-stare). When I was working there, I’d take the subway up to the Museum of Natural History…Wonderful place to hang out! Had to laugh at the hotel room…Bernice has found out that “The City That Never Sleeps” is a truism for NYC! I’m going to try to pop in more…right now “Pinterest” and my roses and Spring plants have grabbed a Lot of my time. As I am typing this, Katie the Irish Setter is curled up in a ball on her blanket in the living room waitiing to go to bed. She’s seven now, but still full of the fa**s! Nice to see some of my old friends! :) Hope to drop-in sooner than almost a year! =-O
