i see ice bucket, tongs, and a highball glass, but no way to refill said glass once empty. Plus the clear and present fire hazard posed by the candles. This does not look optimal.

Personally, I always dress for Cocktail Hour. That way if it runs into Cocktail 3 or 4 Hours, I have something to take off.

    Munky,

Got your peppers ( and a killer yak chili recipe ).I’m bringing the 2 cases of mixed chilis, hot imported fresh from Peru and Mexico, right now.

Have a pint of Guinness and a glass of RedBreast Irish ready….

Here’s one of my favorite chilisChocolate Habanero

Pepper Category: Extra Hots, HabanerosScovile Heat Scale Orange Habanero 150000 ScovillesThis Pepper 300000 ScovillesJalapeño 5000 ScovillesScientific ClassificationCapsicum Chinense

Typical Heat Rating in Scovilles300000 – 577000Also known as Black Congo, dark habanero, black habanero, Senegal hot chocolate, and Cuban habanero just to name a few. This variety is from the Caribbean one of hottest and largest of the Habanero family. Closely related to the Jamaican Hot Chocolate habanero but this type grows larger pods and the heat level is a little lower.

These 3 inches long by 2 inches wide fruits ripen from an emerald green to a gorgeous chocolate brown. The ultimate pepper used to make the famous Jamaican Jerk Sauce.

TASTE: The Chocolate Habanero tends to be slightly larger than your typical habanero pepper and has a unique, rich, smoky flavor.

CULINARY USES: Popular in Caribbean cuisine, it is used in chutneys, sauces and marinades and mixes especially well with fruit in salsas.

    Right Monkey…and I supposed she’s in Taos, and you’re in Albuquerque?Sniffle….

Meanwhile… Sorry everybody, that I wasn’t here last night….Had to take a rest day.It happens.

And thanks, Ling.Don’t worry about the bones…. if they need boning I’ll ….um… faint ….er, I mean, I’ll just …um…. bring in some extra little monkeys do do it.

I’m sure they’d love boning bananas.Do you think you could please get some baby bananas?

As for the peppers….we don’t use a lot of habaneros…. only for certain specials, like the Smokin’ Hot Habanero yak chili, or for those who request one of our Liquid Volcano Salsas… and read the disclaimer.

Remember, this is a family restaurant, with children allowed in the rooms where no alcohol is served. Can’t be too careful.

So while we appreciate them…. and the Monkey or I will probably make and bottle up some of our special salsas…

I’d really appreciate some of those lovely sweeter varieties too, that I just can’t seem to get around here….and we do go through a lot of jalapenos, of course.
