A wonderful story arc! Buy an extra box of tissues for the Thursday segment.A small detail that came up on the website when this first ran last Halloween. The kitten Freddie is seen feeding grew up to be the elderly barn cat we’ve met.
folks, as a great cross-reference, see the shelter cats comic on her web site:http://www.breakingcatnews.com/breaking-cat-news-special-report-shelter-cats/
Georgia, this really is an incredible piece of work. Even when you have a whole story in your head, the writing of it is intensive. And then there’s all the art work, the different styles for the different "venues’. Really marvelous! Congratulations and thank you!
Georgia, you have me on the edge of my chair waiting for the next installment!! Fantastic work, imagination, and artistry as well as a GREAT STRIP. Thanks for being on Go Comics to entertain us all!! Good Job.
I love the old photos of Freddie and Tillie growing up together and then Freddie in her later years opening cat shelter and with her various cats throughout the years.
I have tears in my eyes as I think about my own special girl (my avatar) who passed away almost two years ago. The sadness never goes away just as Ms Quinn said
Wow. What else can I add to all these comments? I like knowing I’m going to get more than 3-4 panels (unless it is Sunday). it always goes from where we left off or shortly thereafter to a defined stopping point. Beautiful, absolutely beautiful artwork and the color washes are awesome. Not sure if ‘color washes’ is the correct term for that type of coloring, but it is awesome no matter what it is called.
Georgia, you have done a wonderful thing !The drawings are great;I love the coffee stain on one of the papers, and the old photos of the house from 3 sides, and especially the story! There are many good storyteller here, but you and Aaron Neatherly are great. I’ve followed End town for years, and hope to be reading You and him for years to come. For your wonderful illustrations and for the stories.I miss my past cats. Sometimes at night I feel them walking on my bed. Pet cats and pet rats are forever! Dogs too. I was out of town when my 1st(my childhood dog) dog died, but she came by to see me one last time.Later that day I found out that it was at the hour of her death when she appeared to me.
I love this story line and all of the details you find. I noticed that in the interview Freddie Quinn gave she mentions she can almost see Tille out of the corner of her eye. Was this a reference to Tillie’s ghost? BTW just pre-ordered a copy of your new book.
This is a wonderful arc. Brings tears to my eyes. All our cats were rescues.
Watch a DVD called “The Cat Who Came Back” if you can. A lovely story of a ghost cat who saves an old lady’s house from being taken over by a greedy nephew after she dies.

Yes, the elderly barn cat….who if you’ll notice still has the same pattern on the scarf…perhaps it is the same one she was wrapped in as a kitten?

And the comic touch of Elvis being snarky to The Man is a stroke of genius in such a moving story.

Ms. Dunn…have you made your art into book form? Your stories are wonderful and to be able to hold them in my hand would be awesome.

Only a master storyteller can make you cry over what happened to imaginary people. Every time you read it.

Question for Georgia Dunn: the newspaper article about the cat shelter says: continued on page A13. Is that a reference to A113?

I am so slow! I just realized that the cats in the photo of the ceiling woman are the cats in the Shelter Report!
