You have to be patient. Usually the store ads overlap on one day of the week. In my area, it’s usually Wednesday. That’s the day to go shopping if you want to make use of all the possible coupons.
It’s because they always shop the day before the weekly coupon-clipper insert in the paper. When I grew up they came out on Thursdays, now it’s Wednesdays.

At least I save my coupons for the things I think I’ll be getting near their expiration dates (the coupons’ dates that is).
