If not for my local PBS station’s monthly beg-weeks, I’d have no idea what a “Suze Orman” was…

Assuming the joke is about white legs, Frazz’s comment should be “Your pupils adjust every year”. But it could be about his skinny legs I guess.

Actually, very little of that trashy ilk is promoted by PBS; most of it is the result of your local station… which is not to say PBS is blameless:

From everything I’ve seen, PBS does not place a high priority on putting any separation between themselves and flagrant pseudoscience that rips off consumers looking for miraculously easy solutions to difficult problems. They do distribute such content themselves — albeit only a small percentage of the total — they happily include third party pseudoscience in their online catalog which gives every reasonable appearance of being a catalog of PBS-approved content, and they allow affiliate stations to broadcast any kind of such content, no matter how outrageous, and to attach the PBS logo to it. – Bad Science on PBS – Brian Dunning, Skeptoid

Re PBS: I believe the term is “extortion.” “Nice little PBS station you got here, would be a pity if it turned into something like this…”
