Like I pity some of these comic strips (not this one) that are drawn poorly, use coarse language, photo-shopped art, and try pass on for what they think is humor. Very sad.
I grew up with an appreciation for good scripts, acting, cinematography, editing and overall production. I loved films and still prefer to go to the cinema rather than watch television.
Like most kids of my generation, many of my Sat. afternoons were spent at the movies watching westerns, cartoons, and serials. I remember the price of admission was 25 cents ! Popcorn 10 cents, a candybar 5 cents, and if memory serves, the price of a large soft drink was a dime !Now, you need to bring your banker to go to a show and the films, for the most part are garbage.
I can’t remember the last time I went to the pictures. Not because I live in a foreign country – we get U.S. first run movies here in English. I don’t go because, honestly, there’s nothing I really want to see.

I miss Siskel and Ebert. Jeffery Lyons. Some newspapers have stopped having movie reviews.
