This is similar to the pre-marital counseling Click&Clack would offer to their younger guy callers: the first plumbing (or whatever) job around the house, be sure to botch it so badly that the repair is far more expensive than it would have been had you just called the repair shop in the first place. Note this must be repeated (but just once) for each type of job: roof, yard, driveway, etc.

Hubby is pretty good about emptying the dishwasher, and he leaves anything he isn’t sure about on the counter. It’s loading it that drives me crazy. But he’s willing to help, and that’s more than I got from the Late and Unlamented.

I have just two words for Earl. Golf.

I praise my husband to the high heavens when he does something. Problem is, when he does something once, he thinks it never has to be done again.

You’re absolutely right. It’s been years since I had all those rose bushes in Sedona,Az. You jogged my memory. It was in very early spring, not late fall. Thanks !And you’re right about y living in a clime that’s virtually never changing. But that brings different problems.

As you perhaps know, Ecuador roses are becoming famous all over the world for their beauty, aroma, and durability.

I have a few ‘patio plants’ including potted rose bushes. It is a learning/growing curve keeping them beautiful and knowing when to prune, feed, etc. especially where I live on the coast.

So far, so good. Only lost one through over-care. I swear, roses are like kids. A little benign neglect can be good for them.

Looks like the early scheme for the Eagle or possibly Elissa, but no distinct figurehead, and neither would have rust dripping from the anchor. The flags are no help, nor was enlarging to the max, other than determining it has six characters. .I had only heard the whisker pole called genoa- or spinnaker-pole.

If only guys knew how they shoot themselves in the foot when they purposefully do a job wrong so they won’t get asked to do it again. A wife who has to do ALL the housework (especially with a full time job) is very tired when it comes time to go to bed at night, and men have only themselves to blame when she’s too tired for certain activities… whereas if he helps out and does it right, she has more energy for the more interesting activities if you get my drift. Wake up men!
