Lynn’sComment*I have offered to help with projects only to discover that I was the only one who was really working on them! The adage, “Be careful what you offer to do,” should be added to “Be careful what you wish for.” Both can have serious consequences.
That’s an unreasonable and snarky comment to make. I imagine you’ve had some unfortunate meetings with some unpleasant U.S. citizens, and for that I’m sorry. There are just as many nice neighbors here as there are in Canada. People are people, no matter where they live.
I’m not judging anyone’s comments one way or another( I do enough of that already) but just for the record I do believe NightGaunt is from South Texas ,not Canada where I’m from. God Bless America! (That is until Trump becomes the President!)
I love Elly’s enthusiasm. When I was younger I used to volunteer a lot with the kinds of things that required physical labor. Nowadays I organize lunches, etc. Luckily, I’ve never had bad luck with people not wanting to help out.

When you do extra things for people you care about, it doesn’t feel like work.
